Sara Goodwin

The Person

Sara Goodwin is a highly collaborative and impact-driven strategic communications leader with a passion for connecting the nonprofit and business sectors and telling their stories of positive social impact. She has decades of diverse experience directing communications strategy in agency, corporate, nonprofit, association, consultative, and quasi-governmental settings. Sara is active in her community, volunteering on the Board of Directors for the Douglas County Community Foundation and chairing its Communications Committee, City of Lone Tree’s Recreation Advisory Committee, Happy Crew’s Board of Directors, and the South Metro Denver Chamber’s Partners in Philanthropy Group. She holds a master’s degree in technical communications from Colorado State University, bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Colorado, and a certificate in corporate social responsibility from CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. Sara is a Colorado native and resides in Lone Tree with her family.

The Company

In 2025, Sara founded Goodwin Impact Communications because of the opportunity it provides to utilize her strategic communications expertise for a valuable societal purpose. Taking inspiration from her last name, Sara created the company tagline to reflect her vision – Making an impact that is GOOD for community and a WIN for business – and the water drop/ripple effect logo is a visual representation of the company mission to make a positive and lasting social impact.
